Wrong week

I think I've got the wrong week to be stuck with a running commute in Dallas.

On the plus side, it could be way hotter, and if it pours on me on every single morning commute, at least my clothes won't smell like sweat?

I'm just worried it's going to be storming on at least 3 of my 5 commute runs (no PM commute Thursday because I'm going to hitch a ride to beer mile!).  I hate running in thunderstorms.  I can deal with the rain on a normal run, but I like it less on a commute, but the thunder and lightning will really bother me -- maybe I'll uber one day or try to coordinate schedules with my husband...

  1. Haha - opposite problem here, it snowed yesterday and was a windy 30F this morning (with a near 20 'real feel'). Yay spring ...

But active lightning is one of my two 'no run' conditions (the other being heavy icing). So yeah ...

    1. That's crazy cold! I'm also normally no-run in lightning, but I also can't no-show at work, so it will be an interesting week in terms of commute planning and timing. We shall see. Lots of radar watching for me!

    1. End of this week hopefully! If not, then I have no idea when since I'm working in Chicago next week, so fingers crossed.

  3. It was pouring at the track today: no storms, but water all in my shoes and messing my contacts up.

    1. I had a wet group run today, but a dry morning commute! But storms in the forecast for the PM commute of course...

  4. Heh - as someone who spent 18 years in north Texas, I was going to say maybe you actually got the RIGHT week! 70s sounds lovely, considering the usual Dallas summer temps...
