And my 'closest' - my dad's dad - died in 1983 before I turned 17.

As for rain ... well, last week when I was in North Carolina most of the week they had the remnants of tropical storm Julia spinning around dumping rain ... then this week back at home it has rained almost every day. Looks like it will mostly be clear for the runners in the Wineglass marathon here tomorrow, so that is nice :)Michael Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03061568790581429107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8798785837432777875.post-66719255234100047062016-09-27T03:21:27.305-05:002016-09-27T03:21:27.305-05:00So sorry to hear this. I think once it drizzled for a few minutes, but no real, sustained rain. That is odd for us!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789773999034928321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8798785837432777875.post-49886014634312403962016-09-26T21:54:16.902-05:002016-09-26T21:54:16.902-05:00I am very sorry for your loss. Sending a hug to you.

I got caught in a torrential downpour about 17 miles into my 20 miler a couple of weeks ago. Is it odd that I thought it was awesome? There is that moment when you know you cannot keep your feet dry so why bother trying and you just splash in every puddle. That was a bizarre run because the weather started out really hot and humid at 5am and by the time I was done it had dropped into the 60s. Current Chicago forecast for 10/9 is calling for showers in the morning. Plenty of time for that to be a lie!!Aimee R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04561153129959868616noreply@blogger.com
