Sounds like it was a wonderful night.

This summer has been very hot and humid here too. I'm sure not quite as bad, but we went from the frigid winter extreme to the muggy summer. There's been no in between. I am praying for a really nice long fall. It's my favorite season and the best time to run. I hope things get cooler for you.Aimee R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04561153129959868616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8798785837432777875.post-17196888670320071922015-08-27T08:57:13.956-05:002015-08-27T08:57:13.956-05:00Awesome surprise! We really don't try to surprise each other much for birthdays at this point ... try to sneak in small surprises here and there!

And totally get you on the termp/humidity and impact on HR and effort ... we've had a pretty cool summer, so most days have been like this week - pretty much between 50 - 60F at 4AM for me, with it getting close to light glove time.

But now that I am wearing the Garmin FR225 all the time I can see the difference between these normal days and the couple of really warm days with ~80F temps and high humidity. Love the 225!

Happy Birthday! I wish you were here in Pgh now...it's actually been in the upper 50s in the mornings! Maybe the coolness will last for your visit.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789773999034928321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8798785837432777875.post-88834739487854183622015-08-26T10:12:05.082-05:002015-08-26T10:12:05.082-05:00The only thing that made me mildly wonder in the b...The only thing that made me mildly wonder in the back of my mind if something was being planned was the fact that one particular friend hadn't asked me if I wanted to make plans, and I kind of thought she would. But truly no clue! I did an hour and a half easy, and with 15 minutes left I had to stop and collect myself. I forgot to bring salt, and I was downright lightheaded and disoriented. With just 15 minutes left! But it was mid 90's with humidity in the mid 90's as well, so I know why it was so bad. C'mon, fall! Graciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05641028266038110278noreply@blogger.com
